President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday signed the 2021 Supplementary Appropriation Bill into law.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly (House of Representatives), Umar El-Yakub, disclosed this while briefing State House reporters.
El-Yakub, who put the total sum of the supplementary budget assented to at N982,729,695,343, said the Act would be largely used to fund security and health concerns, especially COVID-19 pandemic.
The president commended the National Assembly for the expeditious consideration and approval of the supplementary budget, assuring that the executive arm of government would ensure the timely delivery of capital projects to achieve the laudable objectives of the Budget.
