An Edo-based human rights activist, Patrick Eholor, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign and apologise to Nigerians telling on Nigerians that age is telling on him.
While speaking with NTA on Thursday, Buhari, 79, said age was telling on him but he could not complain.

Eholor made the call while reacting to the interview by Buhari.
“The president should resign as a mark of honour than to hold onto office for the next 17 months. If a man comes out clearly to say he is weak and age is telling on him, he should just resign.”
“In my opinion, the president is saying we are going to suffer and that our economy is going to dwindle for another 17months and that is unacceptable.”
According to him, Buhari should resign and apologise to Nigerians looking for our sympathy and empathy.
“How does he expect us to feel, when he came on board, dollar wasn’t N560, a bag of rice is now almost N40,000, a significant increase from the previous amount. Today, tuition fees have gone up.”
Speaking on the recent clashes between herdsmen and farmers in Edo state, the activist called on governor Godwin Obaseki to embrace ranching to prevent herders and farmers clashes.
“Open grazing is a thing of the past. There are ranches in foreign countries and Nigeria should embrace it with support from the government.”
He lamented that people can no longer go to the farm because of fear of being attacked.
