Buhari set to leave Daura for Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari has decided to return to Abuja, following the postponement of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), his media said.

Presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu told newsmen at the entrance of the residence of president Muhammadu Buhari at the GRA area of Daura, Katsina state today.

He said the president would issue a statement later in the day on the postponement of the election.

“The President will issue a statement after INEC’s meeting with stakeholders in Abuja,” he said.

Daily Trust reports that all arrangements are on for the president’s departure.

Our correspondent reports that the president arrived Daura on Thursday for the presidential and National Assembly elections.

The last time the president visited his country home was in August during the Eid-el-Kabir  Sallah celebration.
