President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with a former Chief of Army Staff, businessman and philanthropist, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd) on his 84th birthday.
Buhari, in a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, joined family and friends to celebrate with the elder statesman.

He congratulated the career military officer who, he said, served meritoriously with many decorations, and renowned philanthropist for his contributions to development of the country, both within and outside government.
He said Danjuma left historic marks in education, health and infrastructure, and supported many families and communities with the TY Foundation.
He also noted Danjuma’s position in promoting democracy and good governance, and his encouragement to leaders.
The president prayed for Danjuma’s good health and strength.
