President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday received former Minister of Defence, retired General T. Y. Danjuma, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The agenda of the meeting was not revealed, but Daily Trust learnt that the meeting centred on the need to resolve the challenges facing the country, especially security issues.

This is the second meeting between President Buhari and retired Gen. Danjuma at the State House in five months.
His visit on May 18 this year came after over three years.
It would be recalled that Buhari appointed retired General Danjuma to head the Presidential Committee on North East Initiative (PCNI) whose activities had been taken over by the management of the newly constituted North East Development Commission (NEDC) now chaired by retired Major General Paul Tarfa to address the challenges facing the people of the north east region.
However, the retired general later became a vocal critic of the Buhari administration’s handling of security matters in his home state of Taraba, and the North-central region of the country, especially the conflicts between herdsmen and farmers in the country.
