President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed the Managing Director/CEO, of the Nigerian Railways Corporation (NRC), Mr. Fidet Okhiria, for another term of four years.
The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr Magdalene Ajani, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen.

In letter with Ref: No SH/COS/17/A/1698 dated 5th October, 2020, she said the appointment was in accordance with the relevant section of the Nigerian Railway Corporation Act. Cap 129, LFN, 2004.
Engr. Fidet Freeborn Okhiria, who was first appointed as MD of the corporation on 24th October, 2016, will continue his tenure effective 20th October, 2020 for a second and final four year tenure.
Under his watch, the Abuja-Kaduna standard guage rail facility and the Itakpe-Warri rail project were delivered and the Lagos-Ibadan double guage rail line is almost complete.
