Buhari phones Oba of Lagos on his birthday

President Muhammadu Buhari spoke on phone, on Thursday, with His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Rilwanu Babatunde, the Oba Lagos.

President Buhari, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the Lagos ruler on the occasion of his 77th birthday.

The statement said Buhari also condoled with him on the recent episode of violence that led to the losses of life and property in Lagos.

Buhari, who recalled his long association and friendship with the Oba, appreciated the personal role that the traditional ruler had played in nurturing the peace and development of Lagos state and the nation as a whole.
