Buhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu, others for Oluwo’s book launch

President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Ahmed Bola Tinubu and other dignitaries are expected to attend the unveiling of a book, Code of Kings’, authored by the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi.

The event, scheduled to be held at Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, on January 16, is part of the activities to mark the Oluwo’s 7th coronation anniversary.

A statement by Oluwo’s press secretary, Alli Ibrahim, said the book, written to register a pathway for the black race in the traditional institution, would form part of the monarch’s contribution to learning, knowledge and history with the strong hope to correct “some distortions in our rich history and liberate Nigerian youths from mental slavery.”

Also billed to attend the event are the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’adu Abubakar; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti) as well as a former governor of Osun, Gboyega Oyetola and some northern governors.

According to the statement, the Chief Executive Officer of Peculiar Ultimate Concern Limited, Engr. Abel Lanre Adeleke, will chair the event; while Dr Taiwo Afolabi, Chairman of Sifax Group, is the Chief Launcher.
