President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the nomination of Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo as the Acting Director-General (DG) of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) pending the appointment of a substantive Director-General for the Agency.
A presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu in a statement issued on Monday, said President Buhari had formally conveyed the approval of Fikpo’s nomination to the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo.
Shehu said the President relieved the former DG of the agency Dr Nasiru Mohammed Ladan Argungu of his appointment last month and directed the Minister to nominate an Acting DG to superintend over the Agency pending the appointment of a substantive DG.
