President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled the Katsina Emirate Council on the death of Sarkin Sharfai Katsina, Alhaji Abba Jaye.
The late philanthropist and renowned businessman died on Wednesday at the age of 93 at the General Amadi Rimi Orthopedic Specialist Hospital, Katsina after a brief illness.

Katsina State Governor, Alh Aminu Masari, was among the dignitaries who joined other Muslim faithful to attend the funeral rites, which took place at his residence in Dutsinma at 2pm.
The governor was in company with his deputy, Alh Mannir Yakubu; the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Mustapha Inuwa, and some members of the State Executive Council during the funeral prayers.
A large gathering of Muslims, including the delegation from Katsina Emirate council led by the Kauran Katsina, Alh Nuhu Abdulkadir, and the Durbin Katsina, Alh Umar Babani Isah, attended the funeral of the late philanthropist.
Late Jaye was interred in his Dutsinma residence and was survived by two wives, 30 children, and many grand and great grandchildren.
The president, in a statement issued by his media aide, Garba Shehu, commiserated with the family, friends and associates of the deceased.
He said the late Jaye was a pillar of support to his administration as he offered “timely advice” and supported several “charitable organisations” in his community.
The president prayed Almighty Allah to reward his good deeds with paradise and comfort his beloved family.
