President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with governors of Anambra, Benue, Gombe, Lagos and Kaduna state at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting held separately at the president’s office in the Villa.
Also, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele met with the president. His meeting came on the heels of the alleged missing N500bn in the bank’s coffers.
Our correspondent reports that first to meet the president was Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos state. Ambode said he was in the Villa to thank the president over the commissioning of people’s oriented in the state.
It was after Ambode’s meeting that Ortom came. This is the first time that he would be coming to the villa after decamping from the APC to the PDP.
Daily Trust reports as at the time this story was filed, the duo of Nasirul El-Rufai of Kaduna state and his Anambra counterparts, Willie Obiano are still in the president’s office.
