The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, paid tribute to a former military administrator of the state retired Col. Ahmed Usman who died Wednesday morning.
Makinde described the death of the retired colonel, who served the state between 1996 and 1998, as painful, praying to God to grant repose to his soul. Governor Makinde expressed his condolence to the family of the late Usman and the government and people of Kogi State.

In his condolence message, President Muhammadu Buhari, in a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, said the late former military administrator in Ondo and Oyo State served the nation with courage and dedication, adding that his contributions to peace and unity as well as his quest for public good continued even in retirement.
