The Bayelsa state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed a report suggesting that President Muhammadu Buhari has abandoned Bayelsans in the scheme of things, concerning the omission noticed on the recent ambassadorial nominee list.
The Bayelsa APC, in a statement issued on Friday by its Secretary, Daniel Marlin, faulted the attack on President Buhari by one Mr. Mr Bolous Indiamowei, who it described as an associate of a former governor in the state.
The party urged the former governor to restrain his followers from publicly attacking President Buhari over federal appointment matters.
Marlin said the accuser, who joined the party after the victory of President Buhari, could not speak for the APC in Bayelsa state.
“It is imperative to note that this very man did everything he could to ruin the election of President Buhari. What rights has he now to dictate to Mr President?,” he queried.
The APC stressed that “Bayelsa state has not and will not be shortchanged in federal representation” and advised “party faithful and Bayelsans to remain steadfast as the dividends of democracy under this change regime will be unraveled”.
