President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday spoke on phone with the Oba of Lagos, Alayeluwa Oba Rilwanu Babatunde.
Buhari, in a statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the Lagos ruler on the occasion of his 77th birthday.

He also condoled with him on the recent episode of violence that led to losses of lives and property in Lagos. Buhari, who recalled his long association and friendship with the Oba, appreciated the personal role that the traditional ruler had played in nurturing the peace and development of Lagos state and nation as a whole.
Also in a statement on Thursday by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, Buhari has congratulated the founder of Afe Babalola University, Aare Afe Babalola, on his 91st birthday.
He joined friends and family members to celebrate with the educationist, agriculturist and legal luminary.
He felicitated with Aare Babalola for another year added to his life, and more opportunities to give and show that sharing brings more joy than acquisition.
He particularly hailed his antecedents in health, education and legal career, training more than 2,500 lawyers in the country, with 15 already recognized as Senior Advocates of Nigeria.
