Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari is leading in seven out of 11 Local Government Areas LGAs of Gombe State, in the Presidential election conducted yesterday.
Buhari scored a total of 301,677 votes in the results of nine LGAs officially declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the Collation Centre.
On the other hand, his main challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, polled 110,229 votes in the nine LGAs declared by the INEC.
With the results declared so far, Atiku is only leading in two LGAs.
The results of Akko and Funakaye LGAs are being awaited to round off the collation.
