Former President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the state governments and people of Kwara and Niger states over the unfortunate boat accidents which occurred few days ago.
Daily Trust had reported how a boat conveying 300 people with the majority going for Mawlid Celebration at Gbajibo in Mokwa Local Government Area capsized, a short distance to the victims’ destination.
Garba Shehu, the Spokesman to the former President in a statement on Friday evening said, Buhari’s thoughts were with the bereaved.
He said the former President joined Nigerians who are grieving over the “disastrous sinking of the overloaded boat crossing the River Niger a few days ago.”
