Buhari endorses no faction in Kano APC – Presidency

The Presidency has countered a public statement by one of the factions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State that they have received the endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a statement at the weekend, titled, ‘President Buhari Supports APC as a party, let no faction make a claim’, said it was “blatantly untrue” that Buhari is in support of any faction of the party in Kano State.

He said, “This cannot happen when matters are awaiting adjudication by the courts. To be clear on this one, President Buhari has not endorsed any faction. His support is for the APC as a party, united and strong, and not of any faction.”
