Contrary to widely-held belief in many quarters, Nigeria’s current insecurity problem is not the creation of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, but an inherited one.

Since assuming office in 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari has continued to make the issue of security, which started since 2009, a major plank of his administration’s policy.

The security situation has no doubt continued to pose a great challenge, but amidst the cacophony of voices it is easy to forget where we are coming from. Today, we only look at the current situation, without wondering what would have been had this president not taken the bull by the horns, as far as security is concerned.

No administration in Nigeria’s recent history has provided the security agencies with the funds needed to tackle insecurity as that of President Buhari.

That is the reason why, in order to ensure continuity, and to serve and rescue Nigeria at a crucial moment like now, Nigerians need to support the candidacy of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for the presidency come 2023 under APC.
