Buhari changing mindset of Nigerians from corrupt tendencies – Dr. Oshodi

The Coordinator of Buhari Action Group in Canada, Dr. Abiola Oshodi has observed that incorruptible posture of President Muhammadu Buhari was changing the mindset of Nigerians from corrupt tendencies.

He noted that the murky political system of old in Nigeria, in which the country’s resources were siphoned by the few corrupt ones to the detriment of the generality of the populace, has been reshaped and corrected by the Buhari-led administration.

In a statement signed and made available to newsmen, Dr Oshodi said “going forward, President Buhari deserved commendation and support of Nigerians to completely eradicate corruption from Nigeria.

“Buhari remains a dependable political figure of note in the history of the country. His anti-corruption crusade embarked upon, coupled with outstanding achievements recorded in the economy, human capital developments and investments in critical infrastructures in the last three and half years, have given an enviable status to Nigeria and Nigerians in the comity of nations”, he said.

He further explained that “the task of rebuilding the nation’s economy that was disrupted during the 16-year rule of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was herculean, hence the need for support from Nigerians to sustain the tempo.”

Speaking on the postponement of Saturday election by Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), Oshodi posited that the late hour postponement was unfortunate but better than a compromised poll. He lauded the position of President Buhari and the APC on the issue.

Dr. Oshodi appealed to all Nigerians to keep faith with the PMB-led administration. “The corrupt elites mortgaged our collective future over the years. Nigerians must be vigilant this time and never fall for their antics”, he said.
