President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr. Asabe Vilita Bashir as the new Director-General of the National Centre for Women Development (NCWD).
The new DG who hails from Borno State is an astute politician and a seasoned administrator having served as a two time commissioner in her state as well as member of the House of Representatives.

Dr. Asabe is taking charge from Barr. Mary Ekpere-Eta, whose four years’ tenure officially elapsed yesterday, and will be handing over to the new DG tomorrow, April 12.
