Budget: Kano holds town hall meetings to collate inputs on 2021 budget

The Kano State government has embarked on town hall meetings to collate citizens’ inputs in its preparedness for the 2021 budget.

The meetings are to take place in all the five emirates of Kano, Rano, Bichi, Gaya and Karaye.

Speaking at a session for Kano Emirate, the Commissioner for Planning and Budget, Alhaji Nura Muhammad Dankadai, called on people to avail themselves of the opportunity to make contributions towards coming up with a people’s budget.

In his remarks, the Coordinator, Budget Working Group in Kano Emirate, Malam Salisu Yusuf, said the meeting was organised to allow for citizens engagement and data collection from grassroots.
