Brisk business as APC holds mega rally in FCT

Petty traders on Saturday recorded brisk business as the FCT chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a mega rally to draw support for its candidates in the forthcoming election, particularly the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed.

The rally, which was organised by the FCT minister of State, Hajia Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, took off from Unity Fountain to Zuba town down to Giri junction, Airport Road and terminated at Eagle Square in the City Centre.

Sachet water sellers, food vendors, miniature flags and groundnut hawkers, among others, were seen making brisk along the routes followed by the supporters.

City & Crime reports that the price of sachet water rose to N30 as against N20 with food vendors and soft drink sellers also raising their prices.

Addressing the party faithful at Eagle Square, the FCT minister of State, Hajia Ramatu, commended them for their support of the party and urged them not to relent until the party secures victory during the poll.

She assured that if voted again in 2023, the party would consolidate on the present achievements.

She reminded them that the numerical advantage of the party could only be fully celebrated if the members cast their votes for it and ensured victory at all stages of the poll.

She said Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had been mentoring people for leadership as well as creating employment for youths, adding that a vote for him will guarantee a brighter future for the country.

The FCT chairman of the party, Abdulmalik Abdulrahman, assured that all stakeholders would be carried along before, during and after the poll.

City & Crime reports that the party’s senatorial candidate in the FCT, Zakari Angulu Dobi, and its two House of Representatives candidates were also present at the rally
