The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, yesterday asked his subjects, who had grievances against political officer holders in the town, to complain to him to facilitate redress and remedy.
He said this against the backdrop of the Saturday’s looting of politicians’ assets and the attack on Iwo Local Government Secretariat.

Oluwo, in a statement by his media aide, Alli Ibrahim, commended the patriotic Iwo people who shunned looting and toed the path of honour by refusing to participate in destroying public and private assets in the town.
He particularly lauded them for protecting his palace when hoodlums attempted to attack it on Saturday.
He said: “To those in this category, your sacrifice is noted. You defended your heritage and refused to participate in looting our local government.
“To the looters who used the porous security advantage, it is unjustifiable. Iwo is a city of hope.
“I’ve said it times without numbers that my palace is open for your complaints and requests. If you are not happy with any politician, you should have tendered your grievances and not resorting to looting.”
Oluwo noted that the recent happenings in Nigeria and in Iwo have posed a great challenge to political leaders to be more responsible to their responsibilities.
