Popular streaming platform, Netflix, has announced the release date for the much-anticipated season two of the popular series, Bridgerton.
The creator of the series, Shonda Rhimes, confirmed the news via a post on Twitter.

Rhimes said, “Prepare the carriages, dear reader. #Bridgerton is back on March 25, 2022!”
The series became a huge hit when its first season aired on December 25, 2020.
The eight-episode first season was met with positive reviews. With a viewership of 82 million households, it became the most-watched series on Netflix at the time of its premiere and remains the second most-watched series by total watch time on the platform.
Although fans were disappointed to see no new episodes released in 2021, the show, however, announced that the second series would arrive on March 25, 2022.
The series is based on Julia Quinn’s novels set in the competitive world of Regency-era London’s ton during the season when debutantes are presented at court.
Although the show was renewed for a second season in January 2021, which is set to premiere in March this year, creator, Van Dusen, revealed on Twitter that the series had additionally been renewed for a third and fourth season.
