Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is expected to appear before the seven-man committee investigating bribery allegation levelled against him on Friday.
A credible source within the committee, confided in Daily Trust that the governor would appear before the committee at 10am.
He said the committee had extended an invitation to the governor on Wednesday night.
It would be recalled that Kano State House of Assembly has set up a seven-man committee headed by Honourable Baffa Babba DanAgundi to investigate the authenticity or otherwise of video clips allegedly showing Ganduje receiving bribe from an unidentified contractor.
The committee had last week invited Ja’afar Ja’afar, publisher and editor-in-chief of Daily Nigeria, an online newspaper that released the video clips.
The publisher had testified before the committee and tendered written statement and copies of the video clips to the committee.
