Supreme Court begins ruling on Kano guber dispute

A 5-man Supreme Court panel is currently deciding the Kano gubernatorial dispute.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is currently contesting his sack by the tribunal and appeal court.

The lower courts had asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to revoke the certificate of return issued to Yusuf of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and issue a fresh one to Nasir Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress (APC), but Yusuf filed an appeal at the apex court.
