A special Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting will hold on Friday to finalise works on the 2019 budget, the Presidency has announced.
The announcement was made at the end of today’s FEC meeting presided over by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo at the State House Villa, Abuja.
Presidential Spokesperson, Femi Adesina disclosed this while briefing State House reporters on the outcome of the FEC meeting.
He said the intention of the government to hold the special FEC was to look critically into the budget before transmitting it to the National Assembly for passage.

Daily Trust had today reported that there are growing concern in the country over the delay in the presentation of the budget by President Buhari.
Last year’s budget which was presented on November 7, 2017 was not passed by the National Assembly until after six months.
