From Rahima Dokaji, Kano

The 16th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, has concluded arrangements for turbaning his first son as the Ciroman of Kano, a title considered to be for the crown prince or heir apparent.

Ciroman is a title of significant cultural and political importance in the Kano Emirate as it traditionally represents an individual’s direct lineage rights, coupled with oversight to manage certain districts.
