Movement in and out of Abuja through the popular and ever busy Airport road have been shut down for hours now by a heavy protest that engulfed the Gosa Market area of the airport road.

Movement through the airport road to and from the Abuja airport, central area and some satellite towns of Abuja are currently on stand-still.

The youths including women are protesting the demolition of the popular Gosa market including shanties within the market by the FCT authorities.

The airport road is a major gateway to Lugbe, Giri, Gwagwalada and the central parts of Abuja.

Hundreds of motorists plying the road have been prevented to use the road as the youth have set up bonfire and tires to block the entire access way.

Police and military presence cannot calm the angry youth at the moment.
