The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the semi final stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt after beating South Africa 2-1.
Samuel Chukwueze gave the Super Eagles the lead inside 27 minutes when he bundled a pass from Alex Iwobi into the oppositions’ net after a goal-mouth scramble.
South Africa equalized in the 71 minute through Bongani Zungu and attempted to push the game into extra time.

However, William Troost-Ekong powered home in the 89th minute to ensure that Nigeria book their ticket to the semi finals in regular time.
