President Muhammadu Buhari, three Governors and security chiefs are currently meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over security challenges in some parts of the country.
The Governors in attendance are Jibrilla Bindow (Adamawa) Kashim Shettima (Borno) and Nasir El- Rufai (Kaduna).
The meeting, which started at 11:am, was also attended by members of the National Security Council.
Members of the Council includes; the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan- Ali, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai and Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas.
Others are; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Abubakar Sadique; Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar, Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and the Director General of Department for State Service (DSS), Yusuf Magaji Bichi.
The meeting, Daily Trust gathered was convened over the killings in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State and the resurgence of Boko Haram attacks. Recall that Shettima’s convoy was attacked last Tuesday by insurgents.
