BREAKING!!! Atiku to sign peace pact today

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar will sign the 2019 election peace pact today in Abuja.

Atiku was absent yesterday at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, when candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari and others signed the peace accord.

He said he was not invited to the ocassion by the National Peace Committee, led by a former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd).

Sources close to Atiku told our correspondent that the former vice president would sign the peace deal by 12pm today at the Kukah Centre in Wuse 2, Abuja.

The deal is part of efforts at ensuring a violent-free election in 2019.
