President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the presidential villa, Abuja.
Also, in attendance is the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo. The meeting, our correspondent reports, started with the arrival of the president to the council chamber of the villa by 11:09am.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno and 28 ministers were in attendance.
Daily Trust online reports that, the request by president Buhari that the minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi and his communication counterpart, Adebayo Shittu, say the opening prayers, elicited a general laughter at the chamber.
Our correspondent reports that members of the council had on Friday, 1st March, 2019, paid a congratulatory visit to the president. At the meeting, the president said his second term would be tough.
