The bill is referred to the appropriations committee

The 2021 Appropriation Bill, on Thursday, scaled second reading in the Senate.

This is coming a week after President Muhammadu Buhari presented the N13.08 trillion budget proposal to the joint session of the National Assembly.

The bill scaled second reading in the Red Chamber after a three-day debate on the general principle of the budget estimates.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan referred the Bill to the Committee on Appropriations for further legislative action.

He asked the Committee, chaired by Senator Barau Jibrin (APC, Kano), to report back in four weeks.
