Breaking: 20 kidnapped members of JIBWIS regain freedom

The Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) has confirmed the release of 20 members of its First Aid Group, (FAG) that were kidnapped on December 23rd in Jibiya Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Their released was made known by the National Chairman Ulama Council of the group, Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir during a press conference in Jos on Sunday.

JIBWIS explained that the victims were released at about 2am on Saturday in Dauran town of Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

It could be recalled that on December 31st, the religious group announced the abduction of its 20 members in Jibiya local government of Katsina while on their way back to Sokoto their destination after attending first aid camp in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State.
