BPI Advisory trains entrepreneurs on productivity, outperformance

One of the topmost business consulting firms in Nigeria, BPI Advisory, has trained various entrepreneurs on the importance of clarity and focus as the key elements of organizational alignment and strategy execution.

The training was part of its Business Growth Workshop Series tagged “Outperform,” a Strategy Execution Masterclass for CEOs and Directors held at the ILX centre, Providence Hub in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

Speaking at the training, the Lead Principal of BPI Advisory, Deji Agboade, said: “Everything in an organization rises and falls on leadership. The key role of the CEO is to keep everyone aligned with the goals and most important priorities of the organization.

“One of the principles for superior results is to get clarity. There’s nothing as bad as doing efficiently what should not be done at all. Therefore, goals must be narrowed down to what must be achieved in business per time and communicated in an exact manner to the organization.”

The training also featured an interactive session with Olawale Ayilara, CEO LandWey Investments Limited and Kene Okwuosa, the Group Managing Director of FilmHouse Cinema and FilmOne distribution.

Ayilara, who shared his experience in the real estate business, spoke about staying hungry for results and productivity.

“Nobody wins by energy because everyone has energy; the key is making sure every energy deployed amounts to productivity.”

Also tutoring the participants, Okwuosa gave practical experiences of business highs and lows.

He spoke about the need for a disciplined work ethic in organizations which is instrumental to business growth.

“A lot has changed over the years and people, especially millennials are not willing to put in the shift required for organizational success.

“CEOs should design a system that accommodates the workforce available today and creates an inclusive culture that makes everyone feel incorporated. This would drive increased productivity and outperformance,” Okwuosa said.

He added: “Every business owner must understand who the competition is, be aware of potential disruption and prepare for it.

“Sometimes, everything doesn’t have to come with a competitive approach but opportunities for strategic partnerships should be sought with the supposed competition.”

Daily Trust reports that the growth workshop is an initiative of BPI Advisory to help entrepreneurs and business leaders grow and scale tremendously in today’s fierce and competitive market.
