The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) has expressed satisfaction with general performance of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) two years after it took over from Power Holding Company as core investor.
The BPE’s Director Electric Power, Ibrahim Babagana, who stated this in Kano when he led BPE team to the state for monitoring , also commended the coy for obtaining over 90, 000 prepaid meters to bridge the metering gaps of its customers.
A statement from KEDCO signed by the company’s spokesman, Mohammed Kandi, said: “There is a need for symbiotic relationship between KEDCO and the TCN; both entity should always synergise, communicate and work together in ensuring improvement and sustainability in supplying electricity to the people.”
