Members of Borno State House of Assembly yesterday paid a solidarity visit to Governor Kashim Shettima who temporarily relocated to Bama town to fast track the ongoing reconstruction work.
Speaker of the Assembly, Abdulkarim Lawan, who led 22 other members, commended Governor Shettima for the bold step he has taken towards reconstruction and rehabilitation of destroyed communities to enable displaced persons return home, assuring the governor of support.
Reports from Bama town indicated that Governor Shettima, after spending seven days there, was expected to move on to Gwoza today for continuous supervision of the reconstruction sites at towns and villages destroyed by Boko Haram across the state.
