The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has commiserated with the affected victims of the flood disaster that ravaged the Maiduguri and Jere local government areas of Borno State.
Speaking during a sympathy visit to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, the leader of the delegation, Alhaji M Abubakar, who represented FIRS chairman, Zacch Adedeji, said the gravity of the flood disaster has impacted negatively on the lives and property of people, leaving many residents distressed.
He reiterated the FIRS’ commitment to providing some infrastructural facilities in Borno State University through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.
Abubakar noted that very soon, the commission will brief the governor and give a status report on its projects in the university.

He commended the efforts of the state government, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other agencies for their prompt response to the emergency situation.
