Borno builds 500 houses at Nguro Soye for displaced persons

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has ordered the construction of 500 houses at Nguro Soye, Bama. Local Government Area to resettle persons earlier displaced by insurgency.

Additionally, 1,000 private homes in the town which were destroyed by insurgents would be rehabilitated.

The governor gave the directives during a visit to Bama town yesterday. While at the palace of the Shehu of Bama, Shehu Umar Ibn Kyari Ibrahim El-kenemi, Zulum pledged to increase access to public education for all school-age children.

The governor also granted the Shehu of Bama’s request for increased agricultural support to farmers ahead of the rainy season.
