The Borno State Government has constructed a 100 housing unit to resettle Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Auno community.
The residents of Auno were displaced in April following series of attacks by Boko Haram insurgents.

Represented by the Commissioner, Engr. Mustapha Gubio, the governor expressed appreciation to the IDPs for their understanding and perseverance in the face of hardship and assured that the government would always stand by them.
The Special Adviser and Coordinator, Humanitarian Services to the governor, Dr. Mairo Mandara, while presenting allocation letters to the beneficiaries, said security of lives and property was dear to the government.
Dr. Mandara promised that skills acquisition programmes would be organised for women and youths for them to be self-reliant, and urged them to focus on their farming activities.
It would be recalled that Auno village came under attacks which led to the deaths of over 80 persons and property destroyed.
