The remains of a borehole drilling operator, Kabir Babai who was shot dead by a policeman, Moses Samuel was buried in his hometown in Bauchi State on Sunday.

The was 33-year-old Bauchi State-born man who was popularly known as Mallam was killed by the policeman over a minor argument.

Babai worked with Shekeenah Zelter Global Concept LTD in Osogbo as a borehole drill operator before he was killed by the policeman at Otaefun area.

An autopsy was conducted on his body before it was taken to Bauchi for burial after his father insisted that he must be buried in Bauchi.

Babai left a pregnant wife, 3-year-old baby and aged parents behind.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Olawale Olokode, while sympathizing with the family and colleagues of the deceased said the Policeman that shot Babai would be prosecuted to serve as deterrent to other officers of his likes.

Olokode who spoke through the Police Public Relations Officer for the Command, Yemisi Opalola said the policeman has been arrested and detained for investigation and assured the family and relations of the deceased that they would get justice.

The CP said investigation and disciplinary actions have commenced and that the suspect will be arraigned in court after completion of the Orderly Room Trial.
