The Head of Internal Audit Division, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Dr Saheed Adekunle Imran, has decried the quantity of reading materials on matters relating to pension in the country.
He spoke Wednesday in Abuja on the sidelines of the launch of his book, titled, ‘Understanding Pension Administration and Management in the Contemporary World’.
Imran said he got inspired to author the book due to the “scanty and limited” copies of books on pension administration and management in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
“Reading materials on pension administration and management in the concept of Nigeria and other climes are very scanty and limited.

“The concept of pension anywhere in the world is very complex. The book was therefore written to simplify, sensitise as well as minimise this complexity around pension and management,” he said.
One of the reviewers, Prof. Kabiru Dandago, a former Kano Commissioner of Finance, said the book with 14 chapters and 331 pages, should serve as a guide towards overhauling the syllabi of tertiary institutions offering programmes in related fields.
Another reviewer, Babatunde Alayande, a Deputy General Manager at the National Pension Commission, said the book provides “An insightful and comprehensive exploration of the evolution of the Nigerian pension systems.”
