Boko Haram: Akwa Ibom investigates attack plot

Umanah, while speaking with Daily Trust in Uyo, said there is a need for vigilance by all residents.
The commissioner who confirmed receipt of messages allegedly sent by members of the group to individuals, media houses and security agencies, said investigation into the threat has commenced.
He maintained that the police and other security agencies are on alert to forestall any attack.
The commissioner called on residents to report individuals/groups whose activities they suspect could be inimical to the peace of the state.
“The government of Godswill Akpabio is committed to ensuring the well being of all law-abiding citizens, notwithstanding their religion or tribe,” he said.
