At least four displaced persons have been abducted by suspected Boko Haram insurgents on farmlands near Maiduguri on Tuesday, sources said.
It was learnt that the insurgents stormed Dalwa near Molai general area suburbs of Maiduguri in Jere Local Government Area of the State at about 1620hrs attacking and kidnapping some displaced farmers.

An eyewitness account, according to Mallam Babagana, who narrowly escaped the attack, said the attackers rode on motorcycles and raided the helpless farmers.
He broke the news to the families of the victims and the development has created tension among the displaced persons at Bakassi IDP camp.
“Today, 1st Sept 2020, at 1620 hrs, at ‘Bakassi IDPs camp,’ information reveals that four (4) IDPs/farmers, including one deaf from the IDP camp was abducted at their farmland at Dalwa area near Molai suburbs by the suspected Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs).
The sources added that “Among the escaped victims, Mallam Babagana, who returned into the IDPs camp gives the account that, his colleagues (farmers) were abducted and taken towards the Sambisa forest.
“Thus, following the reported incident, there was tension at the IDPs camp.”
