The Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN) has registered and licensed 3, 829 persons for health information management in the last one year.
The registrar of the board, Babagana Mustapha, stated this Wednesday in Abuja during a news briefing marking his one year in office.

He said the candidates were licensed following their success in the various professional licence examinations conducted by the board.
Mustapha said the board also accredited 33 training institutions for health information management within the period.
He said a Memorandum of Understanding had been signed with the Kaduna Polytechnic to establish a health information management tutor training programme.
He said the board had created a North East zonal office in Maiduguri and developed policies such as the implementation of NCE circular in respect of the professional cadres and registration of foreign-trained health information management professionals among others.
