The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) candidate for Dala Federal Constituency, Barrister Aisha Ibrahim Dankani, has faulted national and state legislators on their alleged failure to enact laws to address the menace of Almajiri and out of school children in Kano State.

Dankani alleged that in the past 10 years, Kano State government was submerged in the efforts to overcome the challenges associated with Almajiri system of education while the lawmakers kept quiet on the issue.

Speaking during an interview with newsmen in Kano, she pointed out that the Almajiri issue lacked any legal backing to make it worthy and work appropriately.

“Where are the laws to help address the issue of Almajiri in Kano? she asked, adding  “I don’t think there was any that will proffer solution to the problem.”

Barrister Dankani further said it was clear that the poor execution of constituency projects aided the continued existence of poverty in majority of the constituencies that were represented by the lawmakers in the various levels of representation in the country.

She also lamented poor women participation in active politics, saying it was not encouraging.
