The king has arrived.
Marvel Studios has released the first poster for Black Panther, and announced the first teaser trailer for the film will premiere during Friday’s NBA finals. The game begins at 6 p.m. PT on ABC.
Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, the king of Wakanda and hero known as Black Panther.
The film, from director Ryan Coogler, takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War, which introduced Boseman’s T’Challa. The new king faces off against Michael B. Jordan’s villain Killmonger. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia) and The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira (Okoye) are also among the sprawling cast, as well as Andy Serkis, who reprises his role from Avengers: Age of Ultron as bad guy Ulysses Klaue.
