A businessman, Benjamin Ogudoro, is being investigated by the Lagos State Police Command in connection with the murder of his wife, Chiyere Ogudoro and his brother-in-law, Ifeanyi Edoziem.

Benjamin, who lives on Oteyi Garden Estate, Abule-Ado, Lagos, reportedly set ablaze the victims on fire in the middle of the night on April 1, when they were asleep.

It was learnt that his wife and the in-law had gone to pick him up from Ikeja airport the previous evening when he returned from a journey.

The police spokesperson in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, while parading the suspect and others on Thursday at the police headquarters in Ikeja, said the incident was triggered by a minor argument.

He said, “This deals with a case of the murder of one Chiyere Ogudoro and Ifeanyi Edoziem by her husband, one Benjamin Nkemakolam Ogudoro at House 5, Zone 7, Oteyi Garden Estate, Abule-Ado, Lagos.

“The victims were set ablaze by Benjamin Nkemakolam Ogudoro after a minor quarrel. The suspect will soon be charged.”

Also, one Obiora Igboagu was paraded for alleged murder of one Pedro Akinbiyi on the premises of a hotel on Jagunmolu Street, Bariga, Lagos, on March 26. Igboagu reportedly hit the victim’s head with a stone during a quarrel.

In another murder case, one Tijani Abubakar allegedly stabbed 25-year-old Nasiru Zakari to death during a fight on Gbogunleri Street, Agege, Lagos.
