Bizman docked for smashing customer’s windscreen

A businessman, Julius Oguniyi, on Monday appeared in a Karu Grade I Area Court, FCT, for allegedly smashing his customer’s windscreen.

The police are charging Oguniyi  with criminal trespass and mischief.

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the offences.

The prosecutor, Ayotunde Adeyanju, told the court that the complainant, Steve Olaye, reported the matter at the Karu Police Station on Dec. 7.

Adeyanju alleged that the defendant went to the complainant’s house and smashed his Toyota Sienna windscreen with a stone.

He said the defendant claimed that the complainant refused to pay for a job he executed for him.

He said the offence contravened sections 348 and 327 of the Penal Code.

The Judge, Anas Isah, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

Isah adjourned the case until March 2, for hearing. (NAN)
